News in brief
04 Juillet 2024
In continuing airworthiness management (CAMO) and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), 2024 is marked by several important trends and events…
(2-minute read)
Market growth and forecasts
The global MRO market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 1.8% until 2034, reaching revenues of 124 billion dollars. In 2024, revenues are expected to increase by nearly 3% to reach 104 billion dollars.
This growth is however slower than expected because of global economic challenges, such as high interest rates and aircraft production below expectations. To respond to these forecasts and to a dynamic activity, meet the TRACING FLIGHT teams at the events below.
Key events and agenda
As experts for more than 10 years in aviation and its software solutions for CAMO and MRO activities, our teams will be available at the following events:
1. 25–27 September 2024 / AD2S, the European aviation MRO show, at Air Base 106, Bordeaux-Mérignac.
Organised under the patronage of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, this show is back after a six-year absence! AD2S is a unique opportunity in Europe to meet major players heavily involved in the sector: institutions – EMA, DGA, the three armed forces (air, land, navy), DMAé, SIAé, SIMMT – and industry.
Among the themes:
- Maintaining civil and military aircraft in operational condition (MRO)
- Support environment for air operations
- Air services for airport platforms, air bases and other flying sites
- Fleet management, running technical-operational structures
- Digital technologies in MRO
- The environmental dimension of MRO
- Innovative training in aerospace
- The economics of MRO

2. 22–24 October 2024 / MRO Europe, Barcelona
This event is an essential platform for commercial aviation professionals to discuss the latest innovations and best practices in the MRO sector. You will find us on the Business France stand!

3. 5–7 November 2024 / EUROPEAN ROTORS – Amsterdam
- At the initiative of the European Helicopter Association (EHA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), these two bodies create a showcase for the European VTOL sector: industry, operators and the regulator meet in Amsterdam to discuss the future of vertical flight.
- A gathering of the whole vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) community and its partners. TRACING FLIGHT will be at your side!
- The famous EASA Rotorcraft and VTOL Safety Symposium, held during these four days, will focus on the latest developments in rotorcraft and VTOL safety.

Innovation and technology
These events highlight technological innovation, as well as the growing use of predictive analytics and data-driven maintenance solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Companies are also investing in technologies for sustainability and the optimisation of operations – topical subjects to which companies in the sector, like Tracing Flight, bring answers.
Expansion and international markets
The Asian market, particularly India, is growing rapidly. The Indian fleet is expected to grow at an annual rate of nearly 13% over the first five years and 10% over ten years, making India one of the main drivers of global MRO market growth.
In conclusion, the CAMO and MRO sector keeps growing, supported by international events, technological innovation and significant growth in some regions of the world, despite persistent economic challenges.
