Tracing Flight & Nexess

01 Juillet 2025

A partnership serving tool traceability in MRO operations

At the 2025 Paris Air Show, we are proud to announce a major step forward for aircraft maintenance workshops: Tracing Flight is now interconnected with the smart RFID cabinets of Nexess, a leader in aviation tool tracking since 2009.

Automatic, real-time tool traceability

Thanks to this integration, Nexess RFID cabinets can now be connected directly to Tracing Flight to enable:

  • 🔄 Real-time tracking of tool movements (check-out/check-in),
  • 📋 A direct link with maintenance tasks and job cards,
  • 👐 Data capture without manual entry, for more speed and reliability.

How does it work?

  1. The operator identifies on the Nexess RFID cabinet,
  2. They select the task or job card, sent automatically from Tracing Flight,
  3. They take out or return the tools needed for the job,
  4. All the data (tool, user, task) is sent to Tracing Flight,
  5. Real-time synchronisation with the platform.

Concrete benefits for your MRO operations

  • Time savings: faster access to tools, with no manual declaration,
  • Zero errors: accurate, automatic traceability, no data entry,
  • FOD prevention: alerts for missing or unreturned tools,
  • Guaranteed compliance: secure history for audits,
  • Increased productivity: faster TAT (Turn-Around Time)

Security and compliance at the heart of the system

Combining user identification via Nexess with the automatic upload of data into Tracing Flight guarantees fully secured operations.

Every tool movement is traced, every intervention is documented, and any anomaly is detected immediately.

The system is therefore audit-ready, ensuring regulatory compliance and protection against any operational deviation.

A solution designed for connected workshops

With Tracing Flight and Nexess, you have a fully digitalised environment for managing maintenance operations. The openness of our platform allows smooth integration with RFID systems, guaranteeing efficient, secure and automated management of your activity.
